a bit about us, who we are, what we do and what we’re about

At Y Stablau, we come to work every day because we want to deliver great food and drink in a comfortable, relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.

We’re an independent family run business who want to provide our guests in Betws-y-Coed with a great experience at Y Stablau of a modern village inn that understands and reflects it’s surroundings. We love the place we live in and strive to echo that in all we do.

There’s a reason we’ve all heard this story before, it’s a good story… a story of family and growth and commitment to community. That’s why were still on the ground floor every day talking to our team and our guests, making sure we’re listening to what people want and connecting with local suppliers and makers, delivering new products and diverse produce that’s emerging on the market locally.

It’s an exciting time to be in North Wales and we’re excited to be a part of that continued and growing story which is the Snowdonia experience.

Our newest additions includes ale from the Wild Horse Brewing Company who use our lovely Snowdonian water to brew up their local mash – the beer of choice on tap at the moment is Buckskin Blonde.

You’ll also see the world-famous Halen Mon features on our menus – check out their about us page -theirs is a fascinating journey and it all started with some oysters…

Of course we wouldn’t be who we are without the village that surrounds us and we’re privileged to be able to support and be a part of the local community events that are held every year – especially at Nadolig Llawen yn Betws-y-Coed Christmas – a community run event which brings a magical winter wonderland to the village during the first weekend in December and beyond.
